Planning Department

The Planning Department oversees all planning and zoning activities within the City of Taylor. We provide support and recommendations to the Planning Commission, City Council, and Zoning Board of Appeals to assist in making land use and development decisions for the city. 

Some of what we do...

  • Develop and Implement Land Use Policy
  • Zoning Ordinance Administration
  • Assist in development of Subdivisions/Planned Development
  • Coordinates & assists applicants with the Planning Commission & Zoning Board of Appeals processes
  • Manage and coordinate all new commercial and industrial review and development in accordance with appliable ordinances and the City's Master Plan

The Planning Department also serves as liaison to both the Planning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals.
