High Grass Notice
As of May 1, the City will start to enforce Article IV Noxious Weeds Section 20-147 to Section 20-150 of the Taylor Code of Ordinances.
Responsibilities
Officers are assigned to specific areas of the city and are responsible for investigating complaints of violations called into the city as well as violations observed while on patrol. These are a few of the common violations noticed:

- Permits Required
- Trash/ Debris
- Sidewalk Maintenance
- Blighted Properties
- Residential Parking
- Inoperable Vehicles
- Premises Identification
- Recreational Vehicles
- Maintenance of Property
Goal: Voluntary Compliance
Our main goal is public education in order to achieve voluntary compliance. The best action for a homeowner to take is to correct the violation within the timeframe allowed, which saves everyone time and money. We are always willing to work with residents and businesses to achieve compliance.
Ordinance Complaints
Residents can report ordinance related violations anonymously at (734) 287-6550 during regular business hours and leave an ordinance complaint with a customer assistance representative. Ordinance violations are typically investigated within 24 hours. You can also request city services through the iCare Taylor automated form.
